Triolo has never looked good at second base to me. He's a demon at third base. IDK how Peguero is doing right now, didn't he come down with that sickness thing in ST? Anyhow, would not surprise me in the least if by the end of May if not sooner, that Peguero is up, Williams is down, Triolo takes Williams spot, but he'll play more. IMHO, that would be quite an improvement on the team.

Peguero has gotten off to a lukewarm start, with six hits (two doubles) in 24 at bats. On the other hand, Nick Gonzales is off to a very good start with nine hits (three doubles, one HR) in the same number of at bats. I'm glad to see that he's playing like his career with the Pirates is on the line instead of sulking after being sent to Indy. I've said before, the guy can hit. He's had decent numbers in the minors in spite of losing a lot of time to injury. I know last year with the Pirates was not at all good but I think some of that was that he needed to be playing everyday for a long stretch. I still believe he's going to be the regular second baseman of the future, maybe even before the year is out.
