Not a bad idea. I know we have a free enterprise in Our Country, but the Dodgers with these past two contracts have gone over and above any salary structure. The financial structure in baseball is totally broken. I am not sure if we will ever see a compromise where there’s a ceiling and a floor.PooperScooper ! wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 9:23 pm Just split the league into over under a certain amount of money $$$ spent on salary. After FA they make up the 2 leagues . Big bank plays little bank for WS. Change it up every year would be fun.

Adam Frazier is a FA. What do you say to signing him to a 2-year $12 million deal? It is a discount but it still is what the market for a guy his age would be. He could be a guy they can move around the diamond and he might be a good guy to mentor some of the kid?

I always liked Frazier, but I don’t see the Pirates signing him or any additional position players.Possum wrote: ↑Wed Dec 27, 2023 8:56 pm Adam Frazier is a FA. They will carry 2 catchers probably Davis, and Delay. Probably carry 6 infielders including Tellez, Hayes, Cruz, Joe and 2 players from Triolo, Bae, Gonzales and Peguero. That leaves 5 outfielders from Reynolds, Suwinski,Palacios, Cutch, and Olivares. Unless they decide to carry only 12 pitchers they could carry one more position player which could make Frazier a possibility. I just think if they are going to sign or trade for a player it will be a starting pitcher.

A player like Slaught would be nice. I am guessing they sign Stallings to a Minor League deal sometime before ST.

According to the MLB Trade Rumors Site the Pirates are still in on Yariel Rodriguez the Cuban right handed pitcher. It appears he would like to start, rather than relieve, and the Pirates are supposedly looking at him as a starting pitcher. Who knows maybe the Pirates can convince him to sign with them.

His signing would give Oscar Marin a chance to screw him up!fjk090852-7 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 28, 2023 10:33 pm According to the MLB Trade Rumors Site the Pirates are still in on Yariel Rodriguez the Cuban right handed pitcher. It appears that the Pirates are going to lose out in signing Rodriguez to the Blue Jays. I was sort of hoping that the Pirates could have brought him on board.3pirates3 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2023 10:37 pmhttps://twitter.com/Enrique_Rojas1/stat ... 6439576014fjk090852-7 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 28, 2023 10:33 pm According to the MLB Trade Rumors Site the Pirates are still in on Yariel Rodriguez the Cuban right handed pitcher.
