Just screws up the game for both fans and teams.

I am a fan of the runners lane, but wish they would add the extra base on the foul side of first that the runners have to use to avoid collisions. Seems like an easy fix.

MLB has their heads up their arses with this rule change. Maybe it is the idea that it allows a hitter to round 1B quicker in order to stretch a single into a double. More scoring.

Not sure I see the need for this change. It’s such a rare occurrence when a batter/runner interferes with the throw by being in fair territory. And if there’s an issue, the hated replay system gives the umpires a chance to straighten it out.
