Bednar strikes out the side. He was the good David today. Before the weekend, I was hoping the Pirates could win one of the games so I’m okay with the results, but it’s too bad about Friday night.

Based on his season work, I think Andujar has earned a spot on the roster next year. I would like the Bucs to give him playing time at 1B.

I agree. He had a really good season with the Yankees a few years ago so he’s shown he can play at this level. He was sent down to AAA earlier this year, didn’t sulk, and had a terrific season. Since he’s been back, he’s played well in abbreviated chances. The club lacks anyone of consequence who can play first base. The next two weeks could serve as a legitimate tryout for him at the position. What does the organization have to lose?
