With McCutchen looking to be done for the season (though he's still on the active roster), this would be a good time to bring up Triolo. No power, but could still use him as a RH designated hitter, you can use him to cover for Hayes on his "rest" days I'm certain that he'll still get. He sucked at second, so he only has one position, but hey he's still an upgrade over Van Meter and Mathias, so if Peguero is the regular starting SS, can't be that bad off. Bae gives way more range, but he can't hit worth a spit, so defense only second baseman is a waste.
I'm guessing they are trying to give the likes of Capra and Rivas some looks as possible trade candidates for some project type relief pitchers.
It's getting that time of the year. Anyone know who is going to be eligible for Rule 5 this winter?
