Hayes has a higher average than Reynolds now. Hope both can finish season strong.

Wow, Holderman meant business. Three up, three trashed. Bucs still lead by two.

He sure wasn't. I know the Pirates would love for him to become the face of the franchise. He's certainly talented defensively and has been hitting very well since midseason. Hopefully, he's turned the corner hitting and this will continue into the future. But it's a very bad look, and a bad example for others, when a player loafs to 1B on every ground ball. Even when it results in a DP. I imagine even his biggest fans have a hard time watching that. "Joggin' George" Hendrick is still vilified for that same thing. Hayes should know better.

Was hoping for an insurance run or two because, as Bobster has pointed out, Bednar has struggled for some time. Three outs to get.

Yeah, Bednar makes me nervous these days. Let's hope for a clean inning.

Holderman threw only eight pitches. I wonder if there was a temptation to send him back out?

Well, one pitch one out. I’m feeling a bit better.

Did they say that Cutch has a possible Achilles problem?
