I hope Tucupita gives me a better vibe than Wilson did.

Seems like forever between sweeps, so it's nice to get rid of that. When we score runs, we win.

I think he comes from a town called Tucupita. His parents named him after their city. Sort of like the Godfather where Vito took name of his town. Maybe he will rule the baseball world. ;)

Bucs 60/71/79 seen running around the neighborhood this morning. Fortunately he was dressed. No need to disgrace himself. He was yelling "Weenie, that 21-0 defeat doesn't mean sh$t"

Going to be exciting waiting for the Arizona series. If we can handle them in the Burgh .500 won't be out of reach.

I switched to the Dodgers broadcast for the 2nd half of the game. Surprisingly, they were focused entirely on the game instead of on the career of the color commentator. (What a concept.) I don't think they were on camera more than once over the last 4 innings. (I counted at least 7 times we got to watch Brown and Young talk to each other thru the first 5 innings.) They were very impressed with how the Pirates played in the series. The Dodger announcers said no other opponent so far has looked as good defensively as the Pirates in this series.

I was glad to see Castro swinging away at the 3-1 pitch. No need to bunt when the batter will see a "hitter's pitch" on 3-1. I hope Shelton took off the bunt sign rather than Castro missing it. It's good to see the young players contributing and it's good to see them being rewarded by winning. The losing atmosphere has prevailed for so long on this team that as they transition to the prospects filling the roster they have to also transition away from steadily losing games. 22-27 is probably a lot better than anyone thought they would be at this point.

If he does, he'll have to stop paying so much attention to the game and entertain us with topics like cotton candy and how great a player Kevin Young was.
