One of the umpires graduated from Franklin Regional High School. It's his first game at PNC Park. Hopefully, some extra calls.

Bell couldn't poke the ball to third base there?

That was a big shift against him. That's the biggest I have seen this year maybe even last year too. Man on third too.

Jordy Mercer sucks. He has the range of a telephone pole anymore and it's just not acceptable. Move on. He doesn't really hit, so there's little point to him anymore

Brault and Kuhl in this rotation moving forward is a big concern for the Pirates. It’s going to be hard for the Pirates to win games consistently with these two guys pitching every 5th day.

Doesn't he have the best fielding percentage at SS since 2014 (year he became a starter). Mercer is the best glove on the team. Not flashy, but very consistent.

Need some base runners. Only a walk so far by Marte.

don't give up on a game like this too soon folks

a) its baseball...and baseball is gonna baseball from time to time

b) weather like this, even more chance of baseball, baseballing. just need 1 or 2 relievers that can't take the conditions, wet slick ball ect. See Cubs & Marlin game a few days ago.

Glasnow comes in does okay gives up a homer. Still needs to be better. He has too much good stuff to continue to be as erratic and inconsistent as he is.
