The up and down Panthers avenged an earlier defeat at Syracuse by beating the Orangemen 64-53 for their third ACC win this season. They are now 8-12 overall

Todays game at Boston College has been postponed today. Tentatively rescheduled for tomorrow.. I tend to doubt it. The upper East Coast is a mess. Currently we have 14 inches here in Wildwood. Everything is at a stand still

Pitt lost to Boston College 69-56 which is in itself not unusual. The circumstances leading up to game were unusual. Coach Capel did not make the trip because of Covid protocol. As previously mentioned this game was supposed to have been played Sat. Boston had just had 24 inches of snow. The team arrived in Boston 2 and a half hours before tip off. Under these circumstances the home team definitely has an advantage. Pitt had previously beaten BC in Pittsburgh. Pitt is now 8-13.

Panthers give up the most points all season in a 91-75 loss at Wake Forest . Pitt is now 8-14

The Panthers fell behind by 28 points and actually came within 3 with 8 seconds left. They couldn't pull it off and lost to Virginia Tech 76-71. Panthers fall to 8-15. Due to rescheduling due to Covid, the next game is against VA.Tech again.

Let this be a lesson.

Between Terry Bradshaw and Ben Roethlisberger, there's a lot of Bubby Bristers.

Between Doc Carlson and Ben Howland or Jamie Dixon, there are a lot of Ralph Willards.

I believe you may have forgotten Paul Evans. Had a pretty good career at Pitt in the 80s. 8 years 147-98

3-20+ seasons

2 Big East Championships

4 NCAA Tourney appearances

Finished as high as #8 in the AP poll

Not great but deserves being mentioned

Whoop de doo.  Best of a so-so bunch.  Doesn't change the point.  There's a lot of gray between golds.  Not just with Pittsburgh or Pitt basketball.  It holds true for a lot of teams in most sports.  We're lucky when it's not the case.
