Well, hoping for VanMeter to get a second hit today with guys on was a bit much to ask of the lad.

At least the Pirates have responded. That's the good news. The bad news is:

1. They're still 2 runs down, and haven't surpassed 4 runs in a game in two weeks.

2. Mitch Keller was warming up in the bullpen, so he's coming.
