So is there any realistic free agent signings this Pirates team can maybe make once free agency resumes? I’m guessing a guy like Jorge Soler will not be available for the Pirates to go sign.

Free agency should be crazy fun to follow this year.

With the foolishness behind MLB I can start considering the options for this team. If I remember correctly, I would not be surprised to see Ben go after a mid level starter as he begins to put the pieces for the next good playoff run.

I’ve not looked at a list of the FAs yet, but hopefully there are some interesting possibilities.

No, but they will follow their SOP and shop for the leftovers when all the impact free agents have been taken off the market. That's all the Pirates will pay for and the only FAs who would consider signing with them. They will look for a starting pitcher trying to rebound from an injury or from several bad seasons and looking for a team willing to give him a chance to reestablish himself.
