Nutting announces sale of Seven Springs to Vail Resorts

The most recent time the club was put up for sale, when all was said and done, we wound up with....BOB. So, I'm not counting on good luck. I only hope for it.

Nutting announces sale of Seven Springs to Vail Resorts

About ten years ago, IIRC, Bob said he would not apply for a casino gambling license for Seven Springs because owning it would require him to sell off the Pirates. With Bob still highly invested in the Seven Springs area, this would allow the facility to apply for a casino license, which would increase the value of the other Nutting properties in the vicinity.

More money for already deep pockets. He ain't no dummy...

this is a good point, what other investments does he have in Seven Springs area? I only knew about Hidden Valley and Laurel Mountain (since they make the news).

According to the article, he still owns Sporting Clays, 7 Springs Golf Course, Hidden Valley Golf Club, Highlands Market, Highlands Resort Realty, and other real estate that's earmarked for future development.  So, yeah, he stands to benefit greatly when Vail Resorts adds gambling to its operations.

I never knew he owned all those, I thought the Golf courses as part of ski resorts, didn't know they were separate entities. The only time I went skiing it was at 7 springs back in late 1970's - I fell down a lot.  We stayed there for a summer weekend around 2008-2010 and had a blast. Hardly anyone was there.

I didn't know he owned all of those entities separately, either. So he still has his grubby hands into things besides the Pirates. I guess only my death will finally rid me of him.
