It's the bottom of the second inning!

Ten total LOB.

Williams is battling though. Too bad we'll have to go to the bullpen in the fifth.

When thinking of the blown chances consider the Cubs view on this game so far. We clowned up the bases loaded for them and they refused to accept the gift

The Cubs have had guys on base all game. The World Champion Cubs. They have nothing to show for it as the Pirates gave them many chances with their errors and a walk.

Wow, 77 pitches to go 2 2/3 scoreless.

Williams has pitched out of the wind up only three times.  That's crazy.  Is he pitching good or bad?

Good to get out of jams, but bad to get into jams? The errors didn't help. Crazy.

I don't think I've ever seen a player advance to second like Polanco just did.

This is a really ugly game.

That's it for Williams. 3 2/3 innings. 3-0 Cubs.

The defense was pretty bad.

40% of the games we play to like this one.

Bad defense, terrible clutch hitting, inability to move runners, nibbling pitching, inability to give up runs after getting two guys out, and just straight up bad luck are the hallmark of this team.

I watch the first five innings with redsox and braves fans and told them what was going to happen (bases loaded two out, look for a weak ground ball, 2 and 3 no out, we won't score, 2 quick out by Williams followed by a double, we'll give up a run.)

This why I sell: this team is unable to get out of its own way and win nine of ten. They just can't.
