So, not having watched a single baseball game let alone a Pirates game in three years, my memory of Pirates first basemen are Josh Bell, Jose Osuna, John Jaso, and Pedro Alvarez. It's nice having a defensively competent first baseman. Santana has had a few nice defensive plays today.

Idiotic base running by both Delay and Hayes. As Casey Stengel once said, "Doesn't anyone here know how to play this game?"
