It’s only one game, but Ponce looks impressive against the Cardinals.

I'm starting like 7 inning games.

So, thinking positively for a real change. The Bucs have now won 5 of their last 7. It means very little, but it is different than losing all the time.

First time since July 4, 1918 that Pirates swept a dh without an extra base hit. Of course with 2020 rule changes, comparisons have to be taken with a grain of salt. Even with the "extra" 8th inning, they only played 15 innings yesterday instead of the standard 18. So less chances for hits of any type.

On July 4, 1918 they had actual extra innings in game 1 as it went 11 innings and didn't bat in the bottom of the 9th in game 2 since they were ahead. So that day they swept a dh with no XBHs in 19 innings.
