Who would you pick?

I heard this on the local radio. I live in NL East area. It was start of June and the DJ asked the following question for callers to have some fun:

Somebody said they'd give you 50 grand if you picked the winner of the NL East and how many wins they'd have. Kind of stupid since most said Phillies out of loyalty.

So I ask same of you.

My guess: Reds with 86 wins. (if memory serves the Cardinals won it one year with 84 wins and won the WS)

I know it's early but the Reds are in first place. I probably cursed them since I'm rarely right in predictions.

You had the Reds at 86? Good for you. You have as good a chance as any.

We could go to the last game of the season, and I'd be wrong. So, I'll watch and hope that that the Bucs win, and if not- you do.

That's the problem with phones and work. Going too fast. I saw his Reds & 86.

Same answer applies in the East. It could go to the last game of the season, and I'd still get it wrong.

May the best men win is what I say.
