Bae (CF)
Cruz (SS)
Reynolds (LF)
Davis (C, after July)
Endy R. (1B, after July)
Cutch (DH) or M. Nunez, DH/1B after July
Suwinski (RF) or Andujar, or possibly Gorski later in the year
Castro (2B) or N. Gonzales or Peguero after July
Hayes (3B)
We'd need placeholders for DH, 1B and C until mid-season: Cutch, Jesus Aguilar (hope he has a hot first half then trade him for a pitcher in July when Endy/Davis/Nunez come up), and Roberto Perez. They'd probably all fit inside Bob's wallet.
Rotation would be some free agent reclamation project (everyone says Quintana but I have a hard time believing he'd come back after experiencing life with a playoff team in St. Louis), plus:
Contreras
Keller
Remaining two spots are the best 2 out of of Ortiz, Priester, Burrows, Oviedo
Not a playoff team--too many young players/pitchers still adjusting. But fun to watch, as opposed to the endless at bats from VanMeter, Yoshi, Chang, Heineman, Greg Allen, and on and on.
I'd watch this team next year
Moderators: SammyKhalifa, Doc, Bobster

Are you mailing a copy of this wish list to the North Pole?
It would be nice to see some of this happen. One change I would make is to move Endy to C and Davis to 1B.

But without those guys, VanMeter Chang etc., who are we going
to pick on

Shelton, announcers, or anyone other than Cherington, of course.

My sense from what I've been reading is that Davis wants to catch and as the No. 1 pick he's throwing his weight around. Ideally they both catch, play 1B, and DH as needed.
