I swear this was my exact thought: "Welcome to the big leagues, Henry Davis."
He is the Andrew McCutchen of his generation; The Chosen One fans count on to lead subpar teammates to respectability. That's a heavy weight, and I know he can carry it.
Fans like me will cut him plenty of slack because we know the numb skulls that he works for.
I wish him all the success that he will earn and tolerance to everyone else.
In the meantime, those Saint Louis Cardinal fans have been awarded as much hope as they've had all season long. I hope that they appreciate it.
