Since 2011, 55% of Paul Goldschmidt's home runs have either tied or became the go ahead runs of the game.

That is phenomenal

I compared that to a couple of our hitting stars. 42% of VanMeter's HRs have tied or put his team ahead. Chang's rate is 9%. 100% of Heineman's HRs tied or put his team ahead. Who needs Goldschmidt! :D :D :D

Based (alone) on this impressive VanMeter stat, perhaps we can trade him to the Cards so they can have his powerful bat hit between Goldschmidt and Arenado.

Speaking of the Cards, I know Molina is invaluable behind the plate. Not only that, he influenced the balk call the other night :D

If VanMeter is traded to the Cardinals, as sure as I’m sitting here, he’ll hit three HRs and bat over .350 in the games remaining against the Pirates.

Another measure of "clutch" -- along with BARISP, of course!

Have always liked Goldschmidts. Always plays hard. Keeps his mouth shut. Seems to get along well with his teammates

He's no Chavis, but I'd give him a shot.

Seriously, always respected the guy. As much as I appreciated Andrew McCutchen, I thought Goldy deserved the MVP.

He'd look good wearing the Pirates uniform.

I think you'll get your wish. In about 7 years he'll be 41, probably hitting .208 before being nontendered and trying to squeeze 1 more year out his career before hanging them up. And the Pirates will be the only team to offer him a contract. ;)
