I hope the Bucs continue their HR barrage. Sadly, I'm missing most of the game today.

But don't you be sad, and watch the Pirates continue with an interesting ST.

IMHO, Kevin young might be the best of their color analysts in terms of raising interesting points. Unfortunately, he consistently talks in a soft monotone voice that begins to sound like a low humming background noise. You have to force yourself to concentrate on his words before your mind drifts off to thinking about what's for dinner. :)

Do you happen to know what they plan to do with Neil Walker this season?

He's already been on some of the broadcasts this spring. As usual, Greg Brown spent those games asking Walker to talk about his career. Brown has a serious man crush on Walker.

Tsutsugo has had a double continuing his good spring, Reynolds with his 2nd HR of ST also going well. The shortstop trio of Newman-Tucker-Castillo have been making it hard to decide who is going to be around. Gamel with a double hitting well. Zach Thompson a strong outing.

A lot of bright spots to talk about, to include who is going to be part of the team. Overall the pitching has been pretty bad save for a few guys. Offensively, they lead the Grapefruit League in HR's, but still leaving a lot of guys on base, the timely hit still a foreign object.

Defensively they have been really good.

There's a lot to like and dislike about this team, a lot to talk about.

Newman thrown out at home on a ball he should have scored on, for as fast as he is, his base running cost them a run.

But I guess it was too important for the camera crew and Joe Block to want to talk about an effing beach ball floating around, cutting off Young who instantly was criticizing Newman for not scoring.

Newman is all around effing up today, Gamel made a wonderful play on a ball in the gap and had the guy thrown out at second but Newman with a piss poor job of tagging the guy.
