surprised VanMeter in the starting lineup, I would have thought they'd give a start at SS to Marcano, with Castillo at 2B

The VanMeter situation is mind boggling. They trade a low level minor league pitcher for a weak hitting utility player who is average at best defensively and use him to block the development of young players being counted on to become significant parts of the team moving forward. There is never a situation where it makes sense to play VanMeter.

I remember when a woman viewer claimed the voice of Mary Hart on Entertainment Tonight caused her to have seizures. (Seinfeld spoofed it with Kramer having seizures whenever he heard Hart's voice.) I wonder if that constant low, monotone drone of Kevin Young's voice could do that.

Yeah, but it was a soft fly ball hit too weakly to carry to the OFers. But at least the Pirates have matched their hit total of last night. Still, I would rather see Marcano get some ABs.
