Frankly, I've seen just about enough of Castro from the left side. I don't get why guys continue to switch hit when they are so much better from one side of the plate than the other. Usually, it's the other way around, but he just seems so much more comfortable to me hitting right handed.
Neil Walker was another one. I never understood why he didn't just go completely from the left side. He was nearly an automatic out hitting right handed. I think Orlando Merced did that, IIRC. He switch hit early in his career, realized he stunk from one side, and gave it up.

One more thing...our MIF defense is abysmal. More than missing Cruz's bat, I think we miss his glove. He's not a world beater by any stretch of the imagination. But, if nothing else, he strengthened second base by moving Castro (or Marcano) there. Bae is a butcher with the glove. I haven't seen much of him (remember, I hadn't watched a game in three years until this year), but I've seen enough to know he's not winning any Gold Gloves.
Bae is great to have as a pinch runner late in games. But aside from his good game on Opening Day and his walk-off against Houston, I haven't been all that impressed with his bat or his glove.

It would be interesting to see what Castro could do hitting all righty. Would he want to try it, or would he just go and sulk?
As far as Bae, all he needs is some time to work on his fielding. I like what he does with the bat when given a chance.

Castro from the right side is .325/.417/.700/1.117.
He's .211/.328/.246/.574 from the left side.
Basically, he's peak Barry Bonds hitting right handed. He's Austin Hedges from the left side.
I wish he'd give up switch hitting.

What the heck was Reynolds swinging at for strike 3?

A lead-off walk to Hayes goes for naught. Orioles coming to bat.

Oviedo gives up a pair of singles but closes the door. No score as we move to the 2nd.

I’m trying to think happy thoughts.
