Finished the season with 128 at bats. Cutoff for a rookie is 130 at bats. Is he still a rookie next year?

I think I read that he will remain a rookie for next year. He could qualify for rookie of the year if he had a big season.

Everything I read says 130 AB. It also says 45 days on the roster not including after September 1. He played 45 games so obviously on the roster for 45 days but not sure.

According to Tim over at P2 it is the AB that count. This Bell will be considered a rookie in 2017.

I'm pretty sure I heard one of the TV announcers say he would qualify for rookie of the year consideration next year.
