Odd but true: Mendoza never actually had a season hitting. 200. His career BA was .215. As a Pirate he hit .204.

Can't say enough about Peters getting out of that mess with only giving up 2 runs, then going back out and putting up a zero.

Big pat on the back for Shelton tonight, he pulled all the right strings with handling the pitching
