I wish I could develop some kind of faith in Rodolfo Castro becoming, at the least, an adequate offensive contributor

If we can hang on, you might get a game ball.

We had 'em all the way. Game ball consideration to Reynolds for 3 hits, 2 HRs. But he also dropped a fly ball. So the game ball goes to Doc for coercing Underwood into pitching well. And Doc did not drop a fly ball.

I wonder if there's ever been another season where the Pirates' first two winning pitchers began with the letters U and Z. :)

It is only 4 games, but if Castro continues to struggle the Mathias kid they acquired in early March has started off very hot at Indy. I think what intrigues the Pirates is that Mathias had a very good September last year.

Was at the game tonight. Epic atmosphere. First time my son has ever seen the Pirates win. Splurged for seats near the field between the Pirates dugout and home plate. The sound off the Red Sox bats in the first inning still hurts my ears but Overdo really turned it around. Felt like a playoff game from the 8th inning on.

Hodgepodge 1. Red Sox 0.

Only saw and heard bits. I am done waiting on Castro to be a consistent player.
