5/4 game thread. Kingham vs Brewers

Realistically, when you throw a 1–hitter in your first game, you have nowhere to go but down. Kingham simply overpowered the Cards. He had to work a little harder last night, but getting five looking strike-outs implies he was able to baffle the Brewers at key points. The newness will wear off soon and as Possum noted, he will get roughed-up at some point. I hope Kingham has the qualities that will allow him to rebound and serve him over time: decent stuff, good control, competitiveness, and a functioning brain. The best thrive because they can troubleshoot and adjust. Hope Nick is that guy.
