Who pitches the 9th? Wouldn't surprise me if Hurdle has Vasquez pitch it to shut the door. You have the bottom of the order coming up.

RTJR! Great to take 2 of 3 from the cubbies. I know Hurdle wanted this game but I would have allowed Vasquez to get a day of rest and let Holmes pitch. I want to keep him his innings down as much as possible.

Eye opening series for those that still need proof or think its too early to draw conclusions: the Pirates were better than the Cubs. The better rotation, the better line up.



Am I willingly to say these Pirates are better than the Cubs? If the rotation continues to dominate then I’d say the Pirates and Cubs are going to battle all year.
