Rain might effect this game quite a bit today so we’ll see. One option they might have is playing tomorrow afternoon. The Pirates and Padres are both off tomorrow and the Pirates play in Detroit on Tuesday and the Padres play in Cleveland on Tuesday. So neither team will have far to travel if it came down to that. So that is one option that hopefully will be considered if the rain ends up being a big problem today.

As usual, a good day at the plate is rewarded with a seat on the bench. Enjoy your day off, Chavis.

Yoshi you gotta believe in the next month or month in a half should start being considered to be a candidate to be DFA’d if his Zero homeruns and well under .200 average continue I’d say within the next 4-6 weeks. There are both current guys on the roster now and players in AAA that are close to being Major League ready that can take his place and would be an upgrade. He is 30 years old and really has no future on this roster and there is really no point in keeping a guy like him around if he isn’t providing any power and is hitting under .200. So I think some decisions as far as Yoshi are concerned need to start being considered here sooner rather than later cause he just isn’t getting it done at the plate plain and simple.

Not often do I have good to say about Shelton, but glad he sent Keller out for the 6th against the heart of the lineup.
