Thompson was pulled after giving up 2 runs on 3 hits and 1 walk in 5 innings on 67 pitches. Shelton is too smart to let him go thru the lineup a 3rd times even though the Braves didn't do much with him the first 2 times.

So now in 2 innings since Thompson was pulled, the BP has given up 8 runs on 5 hits, 2 walks and a HBP on 43 pitches. It sure is a good thing that Shelton is too smart to let Thompson face a lineup a 3rd time.
