He was injured jogging from second to third. Low back tightness is the diagnosis. Baseball players ::)!

Brewers walk Polanco as they fear his bat after that single earlier in the game.

Lloyd McShelton strikes again. He can't stand for a starter to go past 5 innings but couldn't justify pulling Crowe after 5 when he had retired 15 straight. So McShelton looked for the first excuse to pull him in the 6th, which came on a bad call walk. So he has to hope that the reliever will be as effective as the guy he's pulling. And then it all turns to crap. Way to go, McShelton.

Shelton’s moves make no sense.

Crowe is pitching a great game through 5

The Bucs load the bases in the 6th

Shelton let’s Crowe bat with 2 outs

A good move if you plan to let Crowe pitch.

The Brewers get the lead off man on in the 6th

Shelton takes Crowe out???????

Bullpen comes in and you know the rest.

2-1 lead turns to a 4-2 deficit. Looking at a 7 games losing streak

Yep, the team needs him. He's the difference between 50 wins and 53.

A great example of Shelton's horrid decision making. Last time Crowe pitched he was struggling badly after a triple, BB, single and 4 pitch walk. Shelton couldn't think of a good time to lift him (altho it was obvious to everyone else) so he left him in and the next batter hit a grand slam. Shelton's excuse was that Crowe should have executed a pitch. He hadn't executed one the entire inning but Shelton thought he would with the bases loaded and no outs.

So today Shelton was afraid to leave Crowe in too long. But that required a decision. But it's too difficult to determine the right time to pull him so he automatically pulls him the first time a batter reached base since the first inning even though he reached on a bad call by then HP ump. A manager needs to be able to make common sense decisions. Shelton cannot.
