I see Castro is sitting in the penalty after last nights

pitiful performance.

Cutch gets called out on strikes on a pitch high and outside.

I can't wait until they go to electronic Balls and Strikes. It

seems to get worse each year.

Castro can't hit batting LH. He should give up switch hitting, improve as a lefty, or he'll soon be a platoon player

It can't be coincidence that in the same year they implement rules to shorten the gamers, every HP umpire starts routinely calling strikes on pitches that clearly are out of the strike zone. That will also speed up the games but fans will attribute the shorter games to the rule changes. I think MLB wanted to make sure the new rules significantly speeded up the games and hedged their bets by colluding with the umps to help out.

The rate the Pirates are making quick outs, Eflin could pitch both ends of a doubleheader

Velasquez is hurt. That could be bad. They have zero rotation depth with Brubaker and Burrows both out. Luiz Ortiz is it. Priester's numbers at AAA aren't good. Maybe he's trying to develop another pitch. Hopefully.

Question about Hayes

Is his superior defense worth his total lack of offense?

Question...have you seen Castro and Bae the last few games? And it's not like either of them are providing much offense either.

Which has impacted the last three games more? Castro and Bae's defense, or Hayes offense?
