Why not go after Brandon Phillips of the Braves. He is a free agent after the season and I believe the Reds are paying the bulk of his salary. He could play second and move Harrison to third and Freese to the bench. You have a stronger one through eight lineup.

Are the Tigers unloading everyone?

I would offer a minor leaguer to bring back Justin Wilson. Is Nicholas Castellanos available?

I agree with you I have not liked Phillips, but he would be a nice rental player for the stretch drive.

I'm not sure I could stomach that move! He would be a nice pick up for sure. That would be a significant upgrade.

I don't know what they would want but Castellanos would be a decent pickup. Solarte from the Padres would be another decent pickup. I would love to have Justin Wilson back!

Because he's old and getting worse and he pretty much stinks right now. Other than that, it would be great

It's likely we will do nothing. I'd rather we do nothing than sell, but there's a lot of opportunities to improve now and next season out there.

Unless of course people actually believe we can't improve on this roster.
