Kuhl last pitched July 16th against the Mets, earning the win in a 4-1 Pirates victory. He went 5 innings, giving up one unearned run on Kevin Newman's first error of the year. Kuhl did not face the Giants and was on the IL when they visited PNC Park in May.

Cueto drew a ND on July 18 against the Cardinals in the Giants 2-1 loss. He went 5 innings also, surrendering one run on a solo HR. He had a ND against the Pirates on May 15th in an 8-6 Pirates win, going 4.1 innings and surrendering 2 earned runs.

He actually showed some really good baserunning, the ball didn't get all the way to the wall, he just put his head down, made up his mind and made it easy
