Bleacher Report prediction

If the Bucs don’t lose a player such as Bell for an extended period due to injury, I think they will win about 75 to 78 games. If they only win 69 or less games I believe the fan base will be very disenchanted and there could be talk to fire Hurdle even though he is signed long term.

I'm afraid last place will prove to be the correct prediction.

* No power

* A bunch of No. 3-4-5 type starters ... nothing close to an ace.

* Huge question marks at 3B, LF

* Injury prone players at RF, C

* A 2B who doesn't want to be here

* A CF coming off an 80-game suspension

* A front office with no apparent interest in upgrading in the areas of starting pitching, power or outfield depth.

* Did I mention no power?

This feels like the season in which the bottom falls out.

I'm probably going to predict something like 64-98.

Apparently Bleacher Report isn't aware that Gregory Polanco is in the best shape of his life. Plus, they're definitely not aware that we acquired Kyle Krick, Josh Smoker and Jack Leathersitch.

There's no way they'd predict 69 wins if they knew these things.

So, your suggesting that they would have predicted 66 wins?

Excellent point. BR is going to have egg on its face when the Bucs go 70-92. :)

This is exactly right. I'm thinking less than 70 wins because of all the things you mentioned. No upgrades were brought in at all. We will battle Cincy for a distant fourth and I would favor Cincy beating us.

95 wins easy. Cervelli bounces back! Moran provides power! Mercer has career year! Harrison is solid! Bell improves! Marte and Polanco grow! Frazier and Nava provide great platoon! Taillion is solid #1. Nova, Williams and Kuhl excel! Brault or Glasnow amaze! Power arms make bullpen best in baseball!
