Casey McGehee had quite a good season in Japan hitting .317 for Yomiuri with 17 homers. He led everyone in Japan with 47 doubles. Brad Eldred hit 26 homers for Hiroshima, and is in the playoffs.
Rick van den Hurk went 13-7 for Fukuoka (Softbank) Hawks, and is in the playoffs. Kris Johnson went 6-3 in 13 starts for Hiroshima; he was listed as injured in late September, so I'm not sure of his playoff status. Phil Coke went 2-3 in five starts for Orix. Arquimedes Caminero saved 29 for Yomiuri.
Miles Mikolas, who never played for the Pirates but was in the Alex Dickerson trade, went 14-8 for Yomiuri.

Erik Hacker went 12-7 for the NC Dinos, and is in the playoffs. Josh Lindblom went 5-3 in 12 starts for the Lotte Giants, and is in the playoffs. Hacker and Lindblom squared off in their playoff opener on Monday, with the Dinos winning a rare 9-2, 11 inning game. Lindblom picked up a win in Game 4.

Jim Gott to coach with Phillies. He was a big part of the 1988 team and inspirational leader. Felt bad when he got injured. Seems to be a great guy.
The Phillies have announced that Jim Gott will fill their bullpen coach opening. As Todd Zolecki of MLB.com notes, the 58-year-old Gott served as the pitching coach for the Angels from 2010-2012, and has spent the past five seasons as the Angels’ minor league pitching coordinator. Gott pitched in the major leagues from 1982-1995 and had a lifetime 3.87 ERA, notching 837 strikeouts against 466 walks.
