The Departed
Just saw that Charlie Morton is 10-5 this year with a 3.69 era. He is having a very good year for the Astros. Morton did pitch a strong game for the Bucs in game 4 of the 2013 LDS but Wacha was a little better that day.

He was always one of my favorites to watch. His ball moves like no other when he is on. He can be pretty good when healthy. He might surpass 20 starts this year.

Yes, Morton had amazing movement on his pitches. There were times I'd see his 1st inning and feel like he had no-hit stuff. But then he'd always have that meltdown inning where everything he threw was hit hard. He also led the league in HBP 2 straight years. He just didn't seem able to control his pitches. So for a few innings hew looked great and then a few innings he'd look awful. Hard to believe he's 33 already.

maybe he got some extra good medicine while on the dl, Reese M. showing some power:
. Reese McGuire homered for the third straight game for New Hampshire. He’s played only 24 games due to a knee injury, but is hitting 286/374/545 with five HRs, which is one more than his career total coming into this year.

Maybe the Blue Jays have the same hitting coaches working with Reese who worked with Joey Bats

This is bad news for the "NH didn't give up any significant prospects in the Liriano salary dump" argument.

Bautista didn't listen to the Pirates instructions. He realized getting cut by the Pirates was a bad thing so he turned around his career and started to be coached.
