Why do I feel it is going to take a wild pitch to get this thing tied up?

I'm still PO'd at Hayes. I know we wouldn't even be in the game if it wasn't for him, but how do you strike out looking there?

Chance at big innings go for naught. Can't get a guy in from third with one out. Bad base running kills a potential inning. Hedges interference. Hills walks. Nothing from Reynolds or Cutch.

I thought it was one of those pitches that the best he could have done was foul it off. He thought it was going to go another inch outside.
Delay had no chance against this guy.

I might have to ask Shelty to give me a day off from Pirates baseball.

I'm radio only. But this is a big problem with the Pirates, they are so focused on "approach" that I think they have foresaken the old addage, "swing if it's close". Connor Joe is the patron saint of this. He'd rather strike out looking than strike out swinging at a close pitch he feels is out of the zone

I wish I didn’t watch this game. Now I’m Pissed off.
Despite Hill’s bad outing, the Pirates should have won this game.
I’m not even going to rehash the7th inning disasters. Should have had 4-5 runs instead of 2.
In the 9th it was plain as day the the ball Palacios hit was not going to be caught, yet Suwinski only went half way to second initially. Even so he should have been sent home. The relay was dropped and he would have scored. Secondly, why was Delay sent up with the bases loaded and two outs. Wasn’t Connor Joe or even Castro available?
One positive; I was impressed with Miodz…….he looked good despite the HR
