Top 100 Prospects

MLB just came out with the new Top 100 prospects following this years draft. The Pirates have 5 in the top 100.

The Mariners and Rays lead with 6 each.

The Pirate 5:

#98 Peguero

#63 O’Neil Cruz

#48 Priester

#47 Gonzales

#26 Davis

2 Pirates were just out of the Top 100

Tahnaj Thomas and Roansy Contreras

IIRC Jack Leiter was #18 and Marcelo Mayer #21

How do the Rays do it? They don't draft high each each yet they continue to find and develop talent at an amazingly consistent rate. Their scouting and coaching in the lower levels must be outstanding.
