Shreve had such a great pick off move to second, and had the runner dead to rights, that he even faked out Newman and Frazier, who didn't cover the bag

But the runner would not have gone as far off the bag if Newman or Frazier had been closer. You take what they give you. So it might be more accurate to say Frazier and Newman faked out Shreve. ;D

If the Padres traded for Frazier, they are making some other deal, because they have Pham and Cronenworth. I just can't see this.

People are saying the same thing on the social media networks. This trade is confusing, the Padres traded for a guy they don't need.

I haven't seen anything that was the return. I'm just totally blown away.

I guess you can officially close this chapter of the Pirates season.

It's going to be a different look starting Tuesday.

Funny, you know it's coming, but when it finally does, you just have a hard time believing it. I still don't get it being the Padres. good for them, but I don't see what role Frazier is playing there.

dealing Frazier now gives Ben more time to work on other deals. Maybe one a day until deadline.
