Tony Sanchez moved onto Sacramento (AAA - SF) after being released by Buffalo.
1 for 12 so far, could be his last attempt to stick.

Niese had a poor outing vs Dbacks yesterday. He gave up 4 runs in 4 2/3 innings as well as back to back homers.

With last night's win, Bruce Bochy tied Jim Leyland in the career victory list.

Neil Walker is again having back problems. I am sure this bad back was part of the reason the Bucs did not extend him. This current injury may hurt him as he enters free agency.

I think it will. Terry Collins said they were "very concerned", which doesn't sound encouraging.
It's too bad. Outside of a slow June, he was having a pretty good season.

Jacoby Jones made is debut last night for the Tigers. He went 2-4 with 2 runs and 2 RBI. One of the RBIs was game winning. He got a gatorade bath after the game.
Apparently he got a pretty good ovation from the crowd and was much ballyhooed. I am surprised. I don't recall him being that known of a prospect with the Pirates.

His AAA stats were pretty unimpressive.

He's the one prospect I've trouble with trading. He just always seemed so good even if his stats didn't show it.
