From the article:
Indians, others in on Pearce
The Indians are inquiring about Rays infielder Steve Pearce, as are several other teams, according to a report by the New York Post's Joel Sherman.
The 33-year-old Pearce, who is batting .312 with 10 home runs and 29 RBIs in 58 games this season and has the ability to play multiple positions, is "very likely" to be traded before Monday's Deadline.
According to Sherman, Cleveland is prioritizing acquiring a player who can hit left-handed pitching well. Pearce, a right-hander with some power, has posted a slash line of .377/.476/.736 against lefties this season. His career slash line against left-handers is .273/.356/.504.

This shows how little I follow the AL, that i had no idea how good a season Duke was having. Imagine a world wherein Duke to the Cardinals might actually be a bad thing for us!

A quality start for sure.

Liriano on Friday was the same pitcher as he was for Bucs this year. Five runs in five and 2/3 innings. I do believe that hitters are no longer swinging at pitches he throws out of the zone. Possibly the Bucs got the best three consecutive years of his career.

Melancon has made Jonathan Papelbon obsolete. The Nats granted his wish to be released.

Did he punch anyone on his way out? Harper should have been the one to tell him.
