The Cubs have won only 4 of their last 13. SSS I know, but it is the Cubs after all. Shades of 1969?

Yea what sucks though is when we have needed the Cubs to win against the teams we are chasing for the wildcard the last 2 weeks or so the Cards,Marlins, and Mets the Cubs have gone a combined 1-9 against those 3 teams which hasn't allowed the Pirates to gain much ground in the wildcard race the last few weeks.

Bucs climb back to .500 ball. Cubs get absolutely smashed, again.

This looks to be a pretty big week coming up. Won't be easy, but it is an opportunity!

The Bucs softened him up and Reds and Mets took advantage.

Looks like we wont miss Arietta yet again next weekend when the Cubs come to town. Looks like he is gonna pitch on Friday against Liriano. I agree with JollyRoger this is a big week going into the break. Even something like 4-3 this week would put us at 45-44 and it would mean 11 out of 16 wins going into the break. It will be difficult but most definitely doable.
