Happy 4th of July Game Thread Bucs versus Cards...

Alright it's time for payback on the Cards for them sweeping the Bucs here at PNC Park 3 weeks ago. Big opportunity for the Bucs these next 4 games with the Cards. The Mets are playing the Marlins the next 3 games so if the Pirates take care of their own business in St Louis they are guaranteed to pick up a game in the wildcard standings on the Cards and either the Mets or Marlins. Big start for Niese today he shouldn't get too many more if he doesn't start pitching a lot better very soon.

Boy that's frustrating to get bases loaded nobody out and get absolutely zilch out of it. You knew when you saw both Kratz and Niese coming up that the inning was completely doomed for disaster. Kratz has to have a better at bat then what he had there for being a veteran catcher. One of the worst at-bats of the season.

Three straight singles load the bases with no outs and the bottom of the lineup strikes out and hits into a double play.

Huge opportunity wasted. Killer considering the Pirates really need to win this game.

Carpenter kills the Bucs again like always. That 5th inning with bases loaded nobody out pretty much doomed us in this game. How many times do we do this stuff against the Cardinals over the last few seasons it's sickening.

Yep, poor coaching on the bases kills us again...should be a 1-1 game
