Sum a gun!! Hill looked 20 years younger that inning. He smoked them, plain and simple.
I was thinking 6 would be it but if he breezes through the 6th like he just did he'll go 7 and it will be a huge plus in this game.

Allow me to rant here a moment...I hate that this game is on Peacock. I hate that MLB fragments their coverage so much. They had a discount to get Peacock for $20.00 for the year, so I signed up, but still, I just don't like the fact that I pay for MLB.tv already, and MLB took games off of MLB.tv to put on Peacock and Apple TV+, without of course discounting the price.
Now that MLB has taken over Padres broadcasts, they're not blacked out locally, but you have to purchase the MLB.tv single team option. If you have the "all team" version, the Padres are still blacked out in San Diego.
That works, sort of, in areas where there's only one team blacked out. Here in Iowa, in a few years, I'll hypothetically have to buy MLB.tv, plus the single team feed for the Brewers, Cubs, Cards, White Sox, Twins, and Royals, plus Peacock, Apple TV+, and a live TV option for ESPN, Fox, FS1, and TBS games.
Why does MLB make it so hard to watch their product?

MLB should be making it easier to watch their product. Not harder.

Shiver me timbers the old guy gives us 6 scoreless innings. Just a guess but he'll come out in 7th since BP used up a tad.

Solid start for Hill today in a game where the Pirates really needed the starter to pitch a good game.

Sum gun!
One out away from 7 scoreless innings and Cards hit a bomb.

Great job HILLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Smart getting him out of there after 6 2/3. His last two outs were just missed by the batters. His pitches were getting high and it finally caught up to him. Zero complaint!
Can the BP hold??
