Peters was pitching too well after 5 innings, 72 pitches so Shelton decided to try someone else. Working like a charm as Mears has blown the lead.

Polanco struck out swinging twice and also whiffed on a ball hit to him in RF. ;D

Much better AB for Polanco this time. He actually made contact and hit the ball all the way to the SS. The good news is that he's only dropped to .196.

Newman 2 out single, Gamel 2 out single, Newman takes third on a little bobble, Gamel more good baserunning goes to second on the throw to third, and hayes drives them both in!!!!!

Nice hitting that inning! I guess Cora got tired of seeing runs scoring and sent Reynolds to end the inning.
