Brubaker had that deer in a headlight look tonight. It was like he was not sure where anything he threw was going, kind of chucking it up there and praying.

I think they need to move on from Gamel. He's another guy that's just taking away AB's right now. He's a FA after the season, he'll be turning 31, and there really seems to be no need to continue further employment with him. He's not a difference maker. He's given the Bucs some fine moments, and we probably got the best out of his short career in MLB. But time to move on. He's not JVM, but at the same time, he's just as pointless having on the roster if they don't have any intention of trying to get him to sign a deal.

I like Gamel but I agree with your assessment. Still, I'd like to see him come back as a 4th OFer/veteran presence.

question about Gamel is he in a slump or has his bat declined. He is hitting 218 with about a 650 ops over last 120 at bats or so.

Watching the game on MLB. Always have Pirate announcers Brown, Block, Walk etc. Tonight it was the MLB guys, John Smottz and Joe Davis. What a refreshing change!!. They are excellent
