John Sickels released a Pirates top 20 prospects plus list. With his list, Keith Law, MLB Pipeline, Fan Graphs and Pirates Prospects (plus our poll) 90 players at least get some sort of mention. No real surprises on John's list, he has Newman at #12, Jason Martin at #9. He says Crick is not eligible but that's a point of contention, he has 30 appearances and that is the cutoff for rookie status, so I've been convinced he's still a rookie.

This tells me that the Pirates have a deep system with no real standouts, aside from Keller, and maybe Meadows, depending on who you ask.

Gotta hope for some breakthroughs this season. Teams can't win with 25 Jordy Mercers.
