Taillon sharp as usual. Let's hope the bats wake up.

The walk to Reed (.194 BA) hurt him

With the offense gone, this one may be over.

We're to the point that one mistake is one too many. Another great game by Tallion. But it's impossible to win if we can't put up any runs.

Remember way way back, a long time ago, when we were all worried about whether the pitching could keep up with the red hot lineup? Good times.

This will make 3 consecutive very good pitching performances (Kuhl was good, Vogey very good, Taillon excellent) all wasted thanks to an offense that has completely shut down. And it's not like we've faced Kershaw, Bumgarner and Fernandez over the last 3 nights.

This is a brutal, poorly-timed 4-game home losing streak.

We've found our number one starter though.

3rd start going 8 innings already this season.

The season isn't over yet, but getting close. Soon off season Qs are going to be the main topic. There's one Q that I was not anticipating, but it's become huge - what to do with the lineup? Entering this year I was sure the lineup was almost set, and one of the best in baseball, for several years to come. But, instead, thus lineup is just awful. Neal has bigger problems than maybe he can address.

Feliz gives up another run. Even the backend of the pen is suddenly looking suspect.

This one looks like it's probably over. Not that much of a stretch to say that these next 2 games with Houston are as close to MUST win games as it gets. The Pirates have to stop the bleeding here before things really begin to slip away.

Absolutely agree. He's been excellent.
