Suwinski gets the hat trick. Pirates don’t appear too interested in playing this game.

As Chuck Noll would say, it’s time he got on with his life’s work.

Nicolas blows the game wide open. The 2 walks hurt. He has no business being in MLB. His walk numbers are bad at every minor league level. He just can’t throw strikes. And when he gets behind hitters he gives them something to hit hard. He and Suwinski need to go asap.

I hate to see any player lose his dream of playing in the major leagues but the reality is that not everyone belongs there. The Pirates have maybe 10 or more guys who fit that description. I see little hope that it’ll get better.

Reynolds and Valdez HRs don’t even make it close. On Valdez shot Greg Brown shouts, “It’s a no doubter, maybe.” Good grief.

Nicolas only threw 12 strikes in 26 pitches. He was struggling at Indy when they recalled him. But Cherington is smarter than everyone else and wasn’t worried about that.

Why don’t they just send Suwinski down, and give Gorski an opportunity. It couldn’t be much worse.I would like to see if Gorski could handle MLB pitching.

I guess those Dollar Store looking uniforms didn’t bring them luck.

Time to do what makes sense
Put Mlonzinski back in the bullpen
Send Nicholas down to Indy
Recall Chandler and put him in the starting rotation
Send Suwinski down to Indy or see if there is any trade interest(Harrington, Suwinski, Jebb for Roberts)
Call up Gorski.
Do this before the season gets away
