Felipe Montemayor passed away on February 4, just a few days short of his 97th birthday. An outfielder, he played in only 64 games with the Pirates in 1953 and 1955, but played in his native Mexico well into the 1960s. Montemayor, Clemente, and the Cuban Roman Mejias made up an all-Latin Pirate outfield in several 1955 games.

Extremely versatile actor, really loved the guy. He was absolutely awelsome in "Top Secret!" the movie where I came to know him and always loved watching him since.
"The Salton Sea" is a movie I'm sure most didn't ever see, let alone know about. But it was filmed partly out in my old digs, and he was well regarded as a very humble and down to earth guy. He never was "Hollywood" if you will.
